Many historical and religious places can be seen in the India’s first heritage village of Paragpur. There is a beautiful pond named Taal situated in the middle of the village.
It is believed that the original temple was built by Pandavas during the Mahabharata era when this place was known by the name of Nagarkot. The Mata is worshipped here in the form of pindi.
This temple has been constructed in such a way that every day when the Sun sets, its twilight touches directly the feet of Mahadeva enshrined here.
